Lili Moya – International Illustrator

LILI MOYA

An international fashion illustrator based in Spain. Speaking about her thoughts and memories regrading the begining of her journey she said… “when I was a young student at school I started to teach drawing at an early age, I think it was at that point in my life that all started. My grandfather passed down his love for photography to me, he was an important photojournalist who worked at Europa Press Agency so my illustrations are largely influenced by photography and haute couture.I take fashion photos towards a new dimension in order to create a personal style. My illustrations based on designers such as CHANEL, YVES SAINT LAURENT, PRADA, ELIE SAAB, … are an expression of feelings attached to beauty and style. Each illustration is an unique piece of artwork painted with great attention to detail.

I also enjoy Live Runway Sketching. I focus on the most striking elements: the textile of the clothing, a model´s body language, light and music. These sketches allow designers to post their work in an original way in RRSS.

I work with watercolors, pastel colors, acrilyc

I am passionate about my work, so I bring all my skills and creativity in projects, each one is an exciting and new challenge.”

ARTIST STYLE AND VISION

I am lagerly influenced by high fashion photography, I take these fashion forward photos into a whole new realm of layered watercolors and messy smudged lines. Featuring luxury designers in most of my illustrations like PRADA, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, .. I transform their designs into a personalized expression of their collections. I describe my style as spontaneous brush stroke and colorist work. I use acrylic painting and watercolor for original artworks, I also work with graphics tablet. I love to create this surrealist and chic world of fashion.

ILLUSTRATIONS

MIUMIU FALL/WINTER 2017. First I thought when I saw this fashion show was … “Yes! 70’s and The Get Down are here …. hehehe”.

It read as a great fashion in a very good mood, all these colors, blue, purple, green and yellow inspire my artwork. In my illustration I have represented all this chic and fascinating world.

After fashion show Miuccia Prada said “ It’s about the madness of glamour, in front of an uncertain future” and she added “ and I am getting really interested in so many kinds of beauty” In other words … Face it down, glam is out, and represent!

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FW17

Collection is inspired by pagan landscapes, creative communities and ancient traditions of Cornwall, especially the “Clootie” trees. A fluid, elongated silhouette dominates in this collection. I have illustrated this fabulous red dress and this jacket because it fascinates me … so medieval and so contemporary.

MOSCHINO SPRING SUMMER 18

I really enjoyed illustrating this collection, Moschino ss18 show was literally what I expected. For this collection Jeremy Scott tapped into ballet and 90’s punk iconography … and the result is truly Magnificent. My illustration is based in Marcus Man (@marcus_man) photography, I try to reply it under my vision.
