Zuhair Murad needs no introduction– his talent, creativity and savoir-faire, over the years remain unmatched. He faced many challenges this year. After losing his Lebanese atelier offices and stores in the Beirut blast that destroyed a significant portion of the city. But this didn’t stop the designer from rebuilding and going forth even though it can be challenging.
The designer showcased his first physical collection during Paris Fashion Week. Resiliency embodies every single garment and gown which radiates his ability to create a piece that triumphs adversity. Which the designer announces to the world — No obstacle is hard to overcome.
The collection draws inspiration from the designer’s trips and love for Venice, the glorious waterfront city of Italy. A breathtaking array of beautiful cinched-waist dresses, high slits, crystal-covered jumpsuits and exuberant taffeta capes, all paired with top-notch accessories makes the collection feel like an endless party. Created with a beautiful colour palette that goes from electric blue to vibrant red, green, and deep black with hints of gold.
Every piece is a sumptuous work of art, made of intricate embellishments that surround tulles, lace, pleated silk, puffy sleeves, cuts and volumes, giving to every gown a very modern dimension. Zuhair Murad showcased a refined and elegant collection, with a renewed zest, a luxurious armour as a counterpoise to these uncertain times.
The designer remains faithful to his vision of elegance. And to his muse, he has affirmed freedom, independence, exuding confidence, romance and rebellion at the same time.
This exquisite and sensual alluring collection showcases the designer’s signature ultra-feminine show-stopping style as a loud ode to the fearless woman and self-expression, that this season, stands as a tribute, to rebirth and hope as another toast of success.
