In your own words, who is Luv?

Hmmm….lol! Luv is an artist who, in 20 yrs of music, has not left any stone unturned, I am an Experimenter, Fusion Magician, Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Video Director and most of all am a man who truly loves MAKING MUSIC for you all !!!

When did you decide to pursue music professionally?

I decided to pursue music back in 1999 with North America’s first Fusion Bhangra band Signia which had several album releases that were very successful. As for my solo career, I topped the Worldwide iTunes Charts with catchy singles and album releases in both English and Indian music. Most recently one of my singles went number one on the Worldwide iTunes Charts with his album “Taqdeer…My Destiny” released September 23, 2021. I also hit #2 on the Canadian iTunes R&B/Soul Charts with my mainstream English album titled “Believe In Me‘” released in October 2020.

How would you describe your artistic style?

I remain steadfast for my love of English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu music. I like keeping people intrigued by captivating the audience with charisma and high-energy performances. I truly love everyone who works on their craft!! from Bruno Mars, Pit Bull, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Ustad Nurat Fateh Ali Khan, Gurdas Mann, Sartaaj, Jazzy B, Snoop and many more.

How does being born in the U.K. of Canadian heritage shape your music style?

Blessed to be honest, UK born & raised in Canada, influenced by American, European and Indian Music! I am a mixed pot of all the best in sound and this truly shaped me as an artist, and these sounds truly run through my veins. Music is truly a universal language and I truly see that, when my audience is partying, in front of me.

Who or what inspires you musically?

Omg everyone who works hard on their craft!

You are involved in philanthropic endeavors – tell us about that

My Luv4Humanity Foundation gave away Scholarships in 2021 to schools within the community to help the Music and Arts Programs. Most recently I released a single called “Naam Simran” where all proceeds of the single went to Khalsa Aid. This single was released to be of service to the world and to help aid during trials and stressful times.

When did you discover a passion for music?

Music has always been in my life, from when my parents used to cook and when my family got together, where we danced all night long. I remember when Amitabh Bachchan ( The Legend of Bollywood) came to Vancouver, and I was blessed to meet him after his concert… he asked me, “ What do you want to become when you grow up?”…I said, “ I want to be like you “ …He said …” Son, don’t be me …Be you !” Those words have stuck with me all these years. What a showman he is!!! Then, watching the Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5 Victory Tour( we were on the 5th row!) what an experience and what a show….Seeing the love they were receiving from the crowd…I was like… I want that!! As a young kid, knowing all the words and dancing in the aisles, I was like MJ and Jackson 5 are truly god-gifted Entertainers.

What is next for Luv?

So Much, working on new music & videos to be released in the fall of 2022. Learning to love technology, lol!! Looking for a Booking Agent and Management team, so that search is going to take some time. It’s a lot of looking within to construct my shows and my music.
